What will happpen on the day?

Your day will begin with a full safety briefing and an introduction to basic aircraft handling and the principles of flying.

Then its ‘chocks away’ as you take to the skies with one of the expert pilots, all of whom are experienced and fully qualified instructors. You’ll get the chance to sit back and enjoy a full 15 minutes in flight before the pilot will pass control of the aircraft over to you.

Is there an age restriction on this experience?

No, anyone who’s anyone can enjoy this experience, as long as they are tall enough to see over the controls. The venue will advise on this if you are concerned, but there is no real minimum age.

Depending on the voucher you have purchased, approximately 15-30 minutes, plus the initial safety briefing.

When and where is this activity available?

This activity is available at a variety of locations in the South of England; Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Duxford, Cambridgeshire, Redhill, Surrey, Shoreham, West Sussex, Shoreham-by-Sea and West Sussex.

Flights operate on Sundays most of the year. Certain locations (Kent and Northamptonshire) only operate between April and October. For specific dates, please contact the provider.

How much does it cost?

It is recommended that you wrap up warm. It will get chilly up there! Everything else will be provided for you, including the obligatory goggles!
