Travelling by coach from London to Southampton and accessing the island by ferry across the Solent, you can enjoy the beautiful scenic countryside as you visit Godshill, a quintessential English village complete with thatched cottages and its own medieval church. Your journey will lead you back to Shanklin, a historic and stunning English seaside resort, with its long stretch of sandy beach set against the dramatic backdrop of the sandstone cliffs.

Spend a lazy afternoon unwinding on one of the Isle of Wights beautiful beaches.

What happens on the day?

After booking, you will receive an E-ticket which will inform you of the location and times of your pick up point. You are advised to arrive at least 10 minutes beforehand to ensure you don’t miss the coach. From here you will be taken to the Southampton Ferry Port that will take you the short distance across the Solent, arriving at East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

A further coach will then take you to Godshill where you will have some time to enjoy the village and its many beautiful sights. Your coach will then take you to the coast of Shanklin, where you can purchase lunch and take a stroll along the esplanade, complete with traditional seaside games and amusements, tearooms and restaurants.

Your time is then yours to explore the island and see some of the breath-taking scenery that the Isle of Wight is famous for.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Yes, the minimum age for this experience day is 18.

When is this experience available?

The experience is available of selected dates throughout the year, typically once a month. It is recommended that you make your booking at least 8 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability.

How long does the experience last?

You will need to allow the entire day for this experience. Your coach trip from London will begin around 8.15 am and the return ferry from the island is around 17.00. You will arrive back into London at approximately 20.00 in the evening.

Is the whole day planned? Will we have our own time?

You will certainly have some free time to explore the island and see the attractions for yourself, we only advise that you remain vigilant with regard to times. While the tour operators will try to be a flexible as possible, the coaches will run on a strict timetable.

Do I need to get insurance?

A Cancellation Indemnity is included with every voucher and all of our centres hold Public Liability Insurance. There is no need to purchase additional insurance.
